The Effect of the Plantago Extracts According to the Hair Permanent Wave Procedures

Abstract
|

|
This study measured the effectiveness of the wave and the physical and chemical change of the hair to investigate the relaxation effect of the hair damage according to the permanent wave procedures by mixing the plantago extracts with the 1st agent cysteine among the permanent wave agents. As a result of the experiment with the 4 methods; the group A, treated with the 2nd agent after applying 20% of Plantago(pH 8.74) into the 1st agent cysteine, the group B with the intermediate rinse before the apply of the 2nd agent, the group C, treated with the intermediate treatment by pH balance, and the group D, treated with the citric acid, the cuticle detaching phenomenon has been decreased the most in the group D and also the group D showed the highest amino acid composition. In addition, we confirmed the effect of the plantago extracts decreasing the hair damage during the permanent wave procedure by the highest tensile strength and the ductility in the group C and D.
